In August 2022, Duininck completed a 122,000 square foot commercial parking lot for the new FedEx Ground distribution center in Willmar, Minnesota. The project is located in the Willmar Industrial Park and is home to a 217,000 square foot facility that opened in mid-October 2022 and brought approximately 100 new jobs to the area.
Duininck produced, hauled, and placed approximately 2,500 tons of asphalt and completed the work in two days.
The scale of the FedEx Ground distribution center represents a significant investment in the local economy and job market. Willmar was selected for the nearly $30 million project due to its proximity to a four-lane highway, distribution advantages, and available workforce.
