County State Aid Highway 40

A two-mile stretch of County State Aid Highway 40 east of New London, Minnesota, was identified as unsafe and required realignment. Duininck was hired to reroute the roadway, eliminate an S curve, and widen the shoulders to better accommodate the posted speed limit and improve safety for drivers.

Work began on June 8, 2020. The Duininck grading crew moved and widened the roadway, prepared for installation of multiple centerline culverts and one box culvert, and completed subgrading in preparation for gravel placement. Gravel was placed to allow time for stabilization and strengthening prior to future paving.

The project was completed in September 2020.
