The Highway 23 project is part of a larger initiative to expand the current two lane highway to four lane spanning from Willmar, MN to St. Cloud, MN. Our Duininck crews resurfaced the section of Highway 23 near Spicer, MN, consisting of milling the old surface and laying ultra-thin bonded wear course.
By using this method of resurfacing, Blaine Shoenecker, Duininck Operations Manager – Paving stated, “They cover a lot of roadway with the project – approximately 44 lane miles. It’s been difficult working in an area with a high volume of fast traffic, but we’re taking extra safety precautions and seeking to partner with MN-DOT in an effort to keep our Duininck crews safe.”
